TARGET – MAKING IT EASY FOR YOU

The Recruitment Process – Permanent And Contract

At Target our job is to make your job easier. If you’re already a Target client, we’ll have details about your business, your working environment and, most importantly, your culture. When you notify us of a vacancy, we quickly assess our candidate bank for people that would be capable of carrying out the role you’re recruiting for, and who would fit smoothly into with your organisation, bringing that something extra to the workplace.

If you’re not yet a customer of Target, and you have one or more vacancies to fill, contact us and we’ll arrange to visit you. This lets us take details of the specific roles you need to recruit for, and assess for ourselves the sorts of people you already have working for you, your environment and culture. That way, we’ll get a good idea of who will fit in well, and we’ll keep those details on record so that subsequent vacancy briefings can be made over the phone.

Finding the right people

Once we’ve taken a vacancy briefing, we search our database of candidates to find close matches to your requirements. Odds are – we’ll succeed, but if we don’t we’ll advertise on our own and other vacancy websites and in suitable publications, to find the sorts of people you’re looking for.

Then we draw up a list of potential candidates. If we know them well, we’ll talk to them on the phone to determine whether they really are suitable – and whether they want to be considered. If they are new to us we’ll call them into our office for an interview and appropriate skills tests.

Long and short lists

We then come back to you with a long list of potential candidates, and arrange interview times. We brief the candidates about you before the interview, and we get feedback from both of you after the interview. Together with you, we’ll draw up a shortlist and get those candidates back for second (and, if necessary, subsequent) interviews.

Offer and acceptance

When you’ve made a decision about who you want to recruit, we’ll handle the offer and acceptance process for you, taking as much work as possible off of your hands. At Target, that’s our ambition, to fill you8r job – while making your job of recruitment as easy as possible.

The Recruitment Process – Temporary

Finding temporary staff runs to a different rhythm, because they are – usually – required in a hurry. Again, it’s good for us to have details of your organisation on record, so that we can match temporaries as closely as possible to your culture. But, if there’s a real rush, we’ll ascertain as much as we can about you over the phone, then run a search against our extensive list of temporary before sending you someone suitable, often within the hour.

It bears repeating: our role is to make your job as easy as possible.
